No, unfortunately most of the guys that work on boats now are monkeys that don't care about the customers boat. Get it out and get it billed, collect a check!!
Then they all wonder why they cant seem to get ahead and make it big in this world.
I wouldn't pay them for the paint rework and the drive guy should know better.
That sucks!

Ck this out on my new rebuilt B Max
This looks like gear shavings from the previous gear failure it was in the shift rod tunnel,I wiped it on the towel, that would end up in the oil up top,how long would the drive run with starting with gear shavings already in it???
Ck out the metal bur inside the case beside the gears, thats a pretty big chunkIHow hard would it be to remove the chunk while they were rebuilding the drive?
See the bronze/gold curly sliver next to the metal on the towel, I found that on top of the shift fork.drill shaving?
I am scared of the drives, the half ass cleaning makes me wonder were else is metal in the drive,or if it was set up properly!!! from what is see I have a bad feeling about premature failure now

i know it is not what you want to hear but I would pull the drive back apart. Obviously this guy had not attention to detail.

The engine hatch front lip, the rubber seal.Heres were I ordered mine.Copied email,Its 76in long, you want the BT tape on it,strongest,I ordered both sizes, The Tl x202-bt has a smaller hole in it meaning its a stiffer, less compression,The TL X202-bt has a bigger hole letting it compress more,I think this is like the factory seal? The old was mashed flat and I couldn't tell which one it was,I'm close

The taco rub rail insert.Taco only sells in in 300ft.It was easier just order it thru Hustler,100foot,It ya need the rub rail the freight gets ya,Prob get it locall to ya,Make sure when you order some ck and make sure its a full 20ft.Years back I received one 2 1/2in short, the pvc shipping tube is 20ft,with the caps it over, the limit is 20ft,so it got cut Also if it gets a scratch in it it can be sanded and buffed out,its pretty hard plastic,I wouldn't try and reuse the insert,it gets hard and would be a beoch trying to get it back in the grooves
