What Props, pitch, rpm, speed, power on 388?
What are you guy's running
I am trying to figure out what props to put on a 388 500EFI/whipple charged, Mercruiser ITS XR's with sportmaster lowers.
What are you guy's seeing on your boats specifically RPM and speed with Bravo set-up. Trying not to reinvent the wheel and waste effort on the wrong props. Your input is really appreciated!
Thanks in advance............

Your probably going to have to change the gear ratio.I am guessing a 32 pitch with the 1.36 gear.
I figure on mine I will need a 28 I hope to be able to pull a 30 . But with BMax drives and a 1.30 gear will see .
Ck out my other thread on the 750hp Hustler what speed ?
What pitch and RPM you running now???
Rob

I'm running a similar set-up.
750 HP K/E's
XR's w/IMCO lowers
32 4-blades (lab finished)
1:36 ratio
109 mph
I am turning up the heat a little this winter...
I'll post some pics later.

Re: What Props, pitch, rpm, speed, power on 388?
No props or drives
ordered new xr's with sportmaster(standard not short) lowers 1.5 ratio low water pick ups (can not beat Mercury 1 year warranty with new). Too much talk about Imco no service or warranty issues. Talked to Mercury High Performance feel like if I can keep the props in the water and rpm up a little the drives might hold. May have to change the ratio in the end.
No data to work with as the drives will be installed and then trial and error the prop set-up. Good info on the other 750hp thread. Was told this set-up over 100mph on freshwater(second hand info and props unknown) Engines have 20hrs, 2003 hull.
Do either of you have boxes or ITS set-up?
Has anybody run 5 bade or thought about those new 6 blade props?
Thanks Guy's

How you been Rob?
I'm bumping up my HP and converting to Arnesons.
I'm going to be selling my drives if you know anybody looking.
They are perfect. I just don't want to run the extra HP through XR's...
I'll let you know how it goes.

388,
Was a buyer for those drives last week
Probably to much conversion to fit my ITS anyway.
Arneson is a hot set-up and a good way to go with power. Not positive about resale + or - ? But unbreakable, efficient and fast.
Anybody needing any deals on Mercury parts I gotta great source if it helps.
