Swim ladder
Just got into a 99 35 Fountain lightning last year, wife and kids are loving it but I have been requested to install a ladder on the swim deck. Any brand suggestions/ experience installing one? I’m a pretty handy guy and will do it my self but don’t want to do it twice because of a junk ladder or something. Looking for a under platform ladder….too many stubbed toes on our old boat with the ones that go on top. Thanks.

I have a FasTech 292, and the factory setup is such an after thought. I'd like options as well. We actually like swimming.

I have the same issue. Never did anything about it though. I looked at the spring loaded ladders, but there does not seem to be enough support in the under structure to attach one back there. I also looked at building a metal "L" shaped bracket, attach it to the transom, and install one of those ladders that slide in the 2 grooves and then fold down. I can still crawl up the drives, but that time is coming to an end.
I had a Baja 320 way back, a friend pulled the ladder out of the underside of the deck. I drilled a large hole for a waterproof deck plate, made some SS backing straps about 3" square with drilled holes for the ladder bolts. It was originally lagged bolted on. Put it together with SS hardware and selflocking nuts. Put the cover plate on with some silicone sealer. Never had another issue.

Yea that’s the tough part. I know through bolting it would be stronger but it wouldn’t be as clean. I’m also unsure if there is even enough meat there to lag it and have it be secure for years to come.
