Default New Drive Setup 27' Kryptonite

Happy New year everyone!

I'm currently in the process of a few upgrades on my 27. Largest of the two are a refreshed engine and an SCX drive, spent most of last summer with the bravo blues and I'm backing out of the bravo drives before iv spent more than just upgrading to SCX.

Iv read through most all of the Krypto forums and have found that at speed most of you guys can run the boat past 80 with more to go. My previous setup was an XR drive with a 27p Hydromotive P5. In light chop anything past 80 started an almost undrivable chine walk, with a little tab you could throttle out of it but It still was pretty severe.( I have also noticed that alot of people don't like the P5 due to chine walking problems as well.) The drive had a standard lower on it with a x dimension of 5" below the pad bottom not the notch. Being I'm starting from scratch with drive heights and a chance to try different props how have you guys set drive height with notched transoms? Has anyone run an offshore style prop on these boats with an SCX or SCX-4 , They fun pretty level as is and with a offshore clever seems like it be to much stern lift? I know there isnt alot of us running Kryptonite's out there but hopefully someone might be able to dive into this, as these boats don't seem to compare much to others. Thanks!

My WOT rpm is 5000 when trimmed neutral max speed I could ever get on GPS is 85 which is putting me at 2% slip. Im hoping with a new setup and prop I can get closer to 90 but be much more stable at those speeds.

Deda....call me at the shop 518-644-3080.
5in below the pad is way too low. I also doubt you have 2% slip meaning the possibility of a different gear ratio. I have notes on 27s, 29s, what works, what doesnt. Id be happy to steer you in the right direction.
