RPM 26 Redline By Lavey Craft
This build has been started for a little while now and I figured some of you on this forum might enjoy seeing it come to life.
If you did not know and/or you missed the article by Speed On The Water, Lavey Craft is now building the RPM 26 Redline and wants to do their best to keep Steve Tripp's vision alive! https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...rpm-catamarans
The first 26 Redline that Lavey Craft is building is out of the mold and in production. Power package for this boat is going to be a Mercury 700sci mated to a Mercury #6 drive.
Before layup up on the first boat, Lavey dedicated some time to modifying the existing cockpit. The goal was to clean up the RPMs interior by reducing the number of upolstry pieces in the gunwhale and create a single molded fiberglass piece. This modification also opened up some good space in the cockpit which is always a plus! I will do my best to keep this updated as the progress continues. Enjoy!

Here is the cockpit liner insert that Lavey Craft made for the RPM. The boat pictured here is the all carbon boat that Joe Malich had and is having Lavey finish for him. All future RPMs will get this cockpit piece. You will notice on the driver side the different levels and angles, the closest platform with the less angle is for the throttle/shifter and the outside platform will be the switch panel and cup holder or anything else you'd want to put there. The throttle location is wide enough to fit twin controls for outboard configuration.

Engine and outdrive for one of the RPM's has arrived
Mercury Racing 700 SCi and M6 drive
Lavey had to make a slight easy modification to get the #6 gimbal mounted high enough

Wow there’s not a lot of room on that transom!

Sorry I haven’t updated this post in a while.
These are the best pics I’ve got recently
The grey boat is getting very very close to completion and should be getting tested in the next week or two.
Exhaust tail pipes are being made, #6 drive torque tab is being welded on, interior is almost done, Simrad screens for the driver/passenger dashes and also small screens for the rear seats are being installed, port/stbd gunnel consoles are going in, engine compartment has been clear coated to show the carbon fiber along with gel coated floor boards to conceal the rigging, and a few more small details to finish out.
