Default Evolution of the 29

I know this forum doesn't get much attention anymore, but hopefully someone will answer this question. What changes have been made to the NuEra 29 throughout the years. Specifically, where there any changes between say a 1999 and a 2008. Any hull changes, lamination improvements made, use of wood changes, etc? I know the newer models had the high back seats but not sure if there were any other changes. Seem to recall a change to the lifting strakes on the 2750's in the 2000's (don't remember exactly), but was not aware if those changes were also made to the 29. TIA

No major changes between any year model of the 29. It’s a great boat as it is!
There’s only one 29 in existence that has received the same bottom refinement as the 2750 but zero info to report on that boat and how it performed, not sure if it has even hit the water. If I remember correctly the twin engine 29’s had small portions of the strakes shaved down to decrease some of the high speed lift.
Some changes have been made with equipment throughout the years with updates/new products.
Lamination has changed a bit but not by much. Mainly changes were made as knowledge increased with areas that needed less lamination or more lamination to make the boat lighter and stronger. But no major changes in that department because all 29’s are vacuum bagged. As far as I know all were made with balsa and wood for transom and bulkheads, some 29’s were made with balsa deckalite bulkheads.

I have recently seen the 29 hull #1 and that boat has zero stress cracks and still has all original hardware except for the engine/drive. It’s held up extremely well!

I owned the 1st 29 boat.... That boat has been to Catalina dozens of times with me in some big water..... Never felt anything but complete confidence it it.... I did destroy the stereo system in it going to Catalina once.....BIG ROLLERS haha

Great boat
