Question......We have all seen the photo of Don Aronow flying his race boat "The Cigarette", with the big #1 on the side.
Does anyone have any photos of him racing a 27 Magnum sport with the same #1 on the side in earlier years?

Funny you mention that.......
I bought a Magnum ad from 1969 that has a little picture of an airborne black 27 sport. It has the number 1 and says maltese magnum on the side.
It definitely a 27 sport because it has the triangular deck insert.....among other features.
I'll try to take a photo or scan it later today.

Here is a series of photos from the guy I got my 27 Sport from taken in 1975 racing in Fla
