Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm going to put a wood deck insert in this spring.
I am hoping to use a piece of ribbon mahogany plywood.......about 6mm thick.
Any of the new guys have more info on this or what was originally there?
Any opinions at all........how to glue down?........
Thanks,
Aaron

24Degrees... try something that may be cheaper..
a company called TT custom marine has a product that is similiar to the original. Almost represents vinyl flooring like Damnmagnum mentioned. I had seen them here in the North Carolina boat show and kicked my self in the arse knowing I spent about twelve times more glassing the decks of our Grand Banks after pulling up the old teak.
I believe the mans name was Travis

The original was not wood. It was just a piece of plastic laminate that was glued and screwed to the deck.
I spoke to Richie Powers when he was still with Magnum and he said that they did not have any of the material or templates around.
I think the flex teak would be much nicer if you wanted that look in the deck.
Personally, I think the front deck looks better without it.
When I had my Magnum I filled and glassed in that area.
