I was thinking about starting a thread with all my 27 Sport pics.....but I wasn't sure I can without permission from the photographers.

Most of the racing pics I've collected from this site.

Hello Aaron,

Roger's Sport was Red(Jolly Roger) as Steve said with big block Chevs and MDS Speedmaster type drives. Garys' Sport was Blue with small block Chevs with MDS drives, I believe, as I got the Volvo Drive parts from Roger and Gary including the trim system and the shafts to use Merc clever props.
Roger and Gary did a lot of work on mine, raising the drives 2 inches and putting on the Trim and Steering, also the new output shafts and blueprinting the bottom.
I also got a set of special speedmaster type lower units from Don with Boss Lady , that were made by the guys from Mich. Wally Harper and the bunch. at one time Wally had one of the baddest 27 Sports around.
The guys from Mich. had a lot of GM engineers helping them and came up with a lot of interesting things.
Just a little more back ground.
Sundays on the Bay down the Jersey Shore.
Thank you

Jim

Hey Jim......it was in the "Magnum club????" thread. There was a guy you and I were talking with named "Captnate". He said Roger has that blue Sport with big blocks......runs in the 90s!

That's what I was refering to.....

Aaron

P.S. Are you really looking to get another Mag?

Hello Aaron,
Yes, Roger's new Sport is blue now, but the one he had back in the 70s in Jersey was a like a 1969/1970 or so red one. Called Jolly Roger.

Yes, I hear that Roger's blue one runs in the 90s, His Red one was running in the mid 80s back in the 70s. there were at least 3 Sports in the Jersey Area back then that were running in the 80s
Roger's Red "Jolly Roger", Bub Crisp's Yellow "Rated X" with big blocks and Merc Speedmasters and Don Stall's White "Boss Lady" with I think small blocks and TRS. Don's was super clean all white.

Yes, Am thinking about getting another Sport to play with. Have to see how it works out as am going to Puerto Rico end of next month to look at some houses/real estate there.

Thank you
Jim
