Jesel belt drive. Costly but easy cam timing changes, free up alittle HP and easy to change the belt for maintenance.

Bud,dont know the Chi. boat,we only raced the Fl. races and unless he raced in St.Pete for the nationals wouldnt have seen it. Mel

No Cig,I agree with ROTAX454 about the belt,but how much maint.do you ever do on a good timming chain,and a little bit of HP in a 80 mph boat is just about 1 maybe 2 mph if you got everythig else right and got deep pockets,but then why not buy a Sterling and know its right.

my point exactly, but you know i like to hear from the pros anyway..........good chain is what i will go with i have heard good things about rollmaster...........luckily the weather in mich. suck all winter i have plenty of time to figure it out, i might even cut a back seat in the boat this winter.............i will keep ya guys posted, the motor out and at the machine shop......i will post pics soon
