Default magnum

hello guys ,i have a 1974 magnum with twins 350 and the distributor that i have is PRESTOLITE and parts seems to be hard to find,
for example i need the module(pick up coil) and i have spent two days trying to find it , i finally found it and it was 156.00 per engine,
does that sounds right????
the other thing is that when the boat runs for about 30 minutes it starts to run really rough and it almost seems to me that it the carburators flooding but its not, those modules(pick up coils) they are getting hot and the spark gets really weak and its making the boat to run like s---!!!!
what do you guys recomend?
any help counts!!!!

Default 1974 magnum

If you bought Thriller you probably need to change out the ignition system. Bud

Did you water test this Mag before you bought it , And did it run ok ? Are these the add on prestolite modules to the stock distributors. I have heard that the add on's are junk. After the 1/2 hour do you still have about 13 volts at the battery. How many volts & amp's dose the pretolite need to run. Use a volt meter before a run and when it starts running rough. I have the stock marine Mallory {points] in my Mirage that work just fine. If you want a better set up use a marine MSD-6 set up but it will cost more $$$$.
