Magnum 27 Build list
Hey guys, I will post this week the list of Magnum 27's built from 1968 to 1990,once I am able to reduce the PDF files so they can be posted on this site.
Sedan's are marked as Sedan or with an A for early models,R is for race configuration and S is for Single engine. Starfire's are marked as Starfire...who would have guessed that 32 plus Starfire's and 150 plus Sedans were made. It has taken 5 years to get the list and I hope that all of you will use it to identify all of the remaining Magnums left. Don't forget that Magnum is planning to put out a coffee table book with pictures of all known Magnums. They need your help to make the book a reality. I will get a final date on submission of materials and let you know.
I will send out the build list on all 25's and 28's by Fri. Good luck on finding all the one's that are still out there. Bud

That's so awesome! Your work is greatly appreciated!
I may need to swim my boat with the old engines and new graphics just to get a good picture for Magnum!!!

Bud,
Thanks for all the hard work putting this list together!
Will we be able to down load the list (PDF?)for our records? or can you e-mail it to us owners?
Is there a place we can get any other information on our sedans?
Doug

Final List on Magnum 27's 1968-1990 Build List
Ok I had to copy each page so you will need to pull the 9 pages from two e-mails. See original e-mail for codes on the build list.
As has been discussed they started numbering then on the back transom around 1972-73. Before that who knows.
Also spoke with Harold Ballarin at Magnum who is responsible for putting together the Coffee table book on old Magnums ...the current deadline is June 1st for getting into his hands, the earlier the better. His e-mail is [email protected]

Bud,this answers a lot of thing about Vixen.Being #23 makes her a 68 an not a72 like the Fl. title states. Also if the hull was built for mercury accounts for the diff. in wght. also why it was rigged with #1 mercrusers instead of volvoes. All the mercury test boats they used to run down here were yellow and vixen was yellow under her when I sanded her down to repaint. It makes me laugh now when I used to race Vixen against thier yellow boats when i was testing her diff. engines, they were always ready too run.
