Default 1978 27' Magnum Starfire

Hey all,

Just wanted to share some pictures of my 1978 27' Starfire which I am very proud of. The boat is 100% original gelcoat. I bought the boat new in 1978 in Buffalo, NY and have kept it in pristine condition. Hung in a boat house in the summer, stored in heated garage in the winter.

Originally was powered with 330's and replaced by Merc. 425s in 1996. Just put an italian leather interior in for the 2012 season. More pictures are in my profile.

Being an old boat owner ('79 Formula Liberator) I can certainly appreciate the condition of your Magnum.

Thanks so much for sharing.

SWEET!!! If you don't mind sharing, what was the price of the boat in 1978?? I'm guessing $21-24,000???

$42,995 inc. 330 TRS 454s, options included: chicken rail option fuel cells, stainless steel rub rail which is still original w/o blemishes! Merc. racing trim tabs, indicator box, shipping craddle/cover, among other options. The Starfire came pretty much loaded besides the aforementioned options. The boat runs a solid 80 mph now, with 425 Merc's.

It is nice to share my boat with others who share a love for Magnums!
