I don't think I'm talking out of turn but Bill has Short Circuit in a warm building in Marine City were it can be looked at over the winter if you need to see anything for your Mag Greg. Mark

Small block 383s are perfect. I built mine with carbs, fuel injection by Holley would have been a better choice, better fuel economy! My 383s are each 463 HP on pump gas and tuned for 89 Octane. I raised my drives 2", Volvo 280s 2", and with Air Gap manifolds I had to cut through the flat hatch for the flame arrestors. This required a change to crab top MSD distributors to clear the hatch. Caution with your center to center distance between the engines. My CMI headers had to be custom built with my 29" centerline dimension.
with a wider center to center you can also raise your drives more. As I recall the Bravo and Volvo have identical X dimensions.
What ever you do, plan on external power steering.
