Cool video!!!
I need to check out that GoPro camera. Is the mic connected to the camera or separate? Jeff, from Freeze Frame, suggested mounting the mic in the engine compartment for on boards. No wind noise.... just the sweet sounds of the engines.

The mic is internal as the unit is waterproof in a enclosed cover. I was surprised the engines noise could be heard at the very front of the baot. I had it mounted in front of the bow light. I think if it was mounted closer to the rear it would sound much better. Next time I will try it much further back for a better sound.

Maybe try putting the mike near the transom to pick up
more of the rumble.
