I live about an hour south near Greensboro, NC. I see a few powerboats on SML (my Buddy has a tritoon on the lake) and they have a poker run that used to draw some nice performance stuff.

It's about 40 miles long and has about 500 miles of shoreline. Its at the base of the mountain, even close to shore it can still be very deep in some spots.
