Default Finally

got things wrapped up and launched the other day for the first time! Couple little setbacks but nothing major. Water pressure on stb motor is low for some reason, around 7lbs. and does not improve with speed... Just ordered some set screws to block up the top 2 side intake holes. Only set of props I could get ahold of were 21" 4blade which were fine for the first few hours of eng break in but I could only get up to 40 mph and stay under 4000 rpm and at slower speeds has a tendency to porpoise. Now got a set of 27" Mirage plus to try hopefully tomorrow. Probably end up going 4 blade but just want to get some baseline performance/ handling info. I'll try to get some more pics of the interior, it came out looking nice in the end I think.

You might be spot on. The 21" 4 blades are too small and are only 14" diameter. I tried a set of 27" Mirage plus but that was too much pitch, (only got to 5000 rpm or so with no trim), and I didn't want to keep testing with the motors so loaded down.

Got ahold of a set of B1 24's and they perform well. Could only turn 5700-5800 rpm and 68mph but pretty good slip #'s and generally good handling. Surprised how much the boat likes to porpoise which I don't recall when driving the previous triple setup. Talking to bblades about their OBF props to try. Anyone have experience with them?

Looking good Marshall, I miss that boat. Did you ever figure out the porpoise problem, I never experienced that while I owned it, wonder if the Jack plates have something to do with it. Good luck, I hope to hear 80mph out of it soon.

Hey Craig, She still tends to porpoise a bit and also wants to fly a bit in a chop but actually raising the motors helped. Now the prop shafts are about even with the bottom.
