My neighbor has been waiting 2 years for the guy to show. His house looks it too. I had a quote from a guy last year to paint all my welded tubular railing. 180' plus spindles. Guy wanted $10K, I passed, another guy said buy powder coated aluminum, $25K, some people around me have that and it does not hold up that well, IMHO. So, I went out and bought a box of velvet rollers, some Rust Oleum tractor paint, some sanding pads for my old mouse sander. I have about 250.00 in materials, and about 80 hrs in labor. Did not finish it before the cold came and has been too wet too often this Spring to finish it. When the weather breaks and all the Winter projects are done, I should be able to finish it on a weekend.

Crappies will be on the bank soon, so that counts out about any painter around the lake.
I usually bring help from home when I do something like that. Usually not more expensive and it gets done.

Bring in your homeboys, pay them, feed them, get drunk with them and take them fishing. It will be done in a few days, cleaned up, friends for life and move on to the next project. When I was a kid, friend of our parents would load up a bunch of HS boys, bring us to the Lake, we raked leaves, trimmed bushes, low hanging tree limbs, cleaned the house and the boat. Got paid in food, water skiing, couple nights on the strip in the bumper cars and skee ball, cooler of beer "left accidently" outside on the screened in porch. A couple of them even paid us in addition to all the other benefits.
