The sheer volume of brickwork in the place was mindboggling.
300 years of wear and tear makes for some interesting patterns.
I have always liked spiral stairways- this was processed with a filter that makes it look like comic book art.

Pictures are awsome. Went there 5 years ago. I'm a mason contractor, and I was amazed at the craftsmanship in that fort. Also how long it took them to build the place. Bringing the brick from the main land also was a huge task, on those old sailing ships. I know what it takes for a project like this today, I can't begin to comprehend what took back then. amazing. Next trip I'd like to do the sea plane or by performance boat. Bob
