Totally agree. She could rule my world.
Happened at the Nautical during DS. Walking across the parking lot with about 6 guys.
It was probably hilarious to anyone who saw it- when I stopped to get the shot everyone in the group stopped.
Quite a sight.

Thanks. So many times it comes down to a simple matter of 'right place, right time'.
That early morning shot of you is a great example.
And, for me- no better example of it than this one:
This photo was more fun to set up than any from this year or any other year.
Because I was still recovering from back surgery (6wks),
Air travel and driving were still wearying, so I allowed myself an extra day of travel on the way to LOTO.
I'm in a Days Inn near Ft Jefferson, and I am seeing facebook updates from Low Altitude.
They are heading my direction with their latest update giving an eta of about 22 minutes.
So, I break into the camera bag, then set up a chair at the window and open it.
A quick test in the 6-in opening tells me with the bldg facade on my left and an overpass to the right
I'll have about 4 seconds to get a clear shot.
I have a few real clear memories from early studies in the late 70's
and I remember the one simple rule of action photography:
Be ready.

Makin' a list...
Tom, Johnny-- thanks. You guys are on the list.
Thanks to all of the folks- friends, who make this what it is- a phuckin blast.
The machines and the venues make for fantastical photos.. but, it's the people that really do it.
The friends, the CHARACTERS in this life- cool, crazy, intense, driven, hilarious... who,
when taken as a whole- make up a world in which I sure feel at home.
Thought experiment:
jot down the first 10 people that come to mind when you think of go-fast boats and think about that bit of humanity for a moment.
