I have twin 540 @ 700 HP, will these work? I will be in salt water. Can you the outer be other colors?

These headers are Lightnings freshwater versions. They would not be suited to a saltwater application as the outer tube or shell is mild steel. While it is a treated/coated tube it will never withstand the severity of saltwater. Lightning does build salt water headers in all stainless steel the pricing is closer to double this amount. As for colors they have color options on all of their headers for an additional charge.
These would work great in any high horsepower application. The questions is determining which of their systems fits your needs. In order to make 700hp in your 540CID application it would take a rather aggressive camshaft. If you want to provide your camshaft specifications I can help you determine which header would be best for your application.

dont waist your money they rust out bite the bullet and buy stainless,they look nice dont they take a look at dana,s or eddie marine they are manifolds but there stainless and aluminum much more affordable
