I had that happen with one of my race trailers. Previous owner had jacked it up fron the middle of the axle and had a nice hook in it. Would eat tires

What brand trailer is that build ? I can not believe those axles were bent from overloading as that is some serious tire wear.

I would start by getting some video from someone gong down the road behind you to see how it goes down the road now and if it looks quirky than start pulling some measurements to square it off.

As stated above the axles were bent and I replaced them ..

Wonder if you could gusset the spindle assembly to the axle tube to keep it from bending upward?

I was looking at that too. Especially if it happens again, but at that point maybe there are heavier duty ones available as an option maybe. I hate trailer drama!
