I just bought a 99 28' heat, with a 502mpi the boat and engine have 144 hours. I really like the lines of the boat. I have briefly had the boat out on Lake Michigan this past sunday. The lake was fairly rough, there were solid 3' and a ocassional 4'. I was very impressed with the way the boat handled. I was brief able to find some calm water and had the boat to 61.5 GPS at 4800rpm, this was for a very short blast. The boat has a 26p bravo one prop. What type of speeds sound I expect from this boat??? Anyone have any tips or advice about this model??
Here are some pics,
Thanks,
Magic

Very nice and welcome.
You may want to try a "stock" 24 and see how you like it. That should get you around 5100 rpm and provide a little less slip. Don't lab the 26 as many have found on the Heat, the stock versions seems to work the best until you start throwing hp to them. Then you'll want to look at the Hydro P5-X.
