I would think you could spin a 26 fairly easy. We turn near 5000 rpm at 5000 feet elevation with a lab 24 on my friends Rage. This produces 68.5 mph GPS.
We lose 450-500 rpm here at our 5000 feet elevation.

we have sold several and have seen variations on the limiter from 4850 to 5200....it depends somewhat on what generation the motor is and probably ifnit was a Friday afternoon build .....LOL

5150 on the MagHO and 4950 on the Mag.
These are controlled via the ECM and any variations would be a result of tach error.
Good idea to check your tach with a Merc scan tool. You can't change it but you'll know where your at
