Another project has developed. I decided to modify my trim tabs to retract a little farther. I used the starboard one as a template. Moved the lower ram mount on the tab 1 1/2"s towards the rear. Worked perfectly. Lost a little down tab, but still had plenty left.
I removed the port tab to duplicate the other side, and found a serious crack where the outside ram mounts to the transom.
These Bennets don't have hinges at the top of the rams, it appears they are designed to flex as they trim up and down. That is not real high tech stuff. I think the season end festivities in rough water (Lake Cumberland, Dale Hollow, Ky Lake) got the better of this ram.
Rather than replacing the ram, I have removed the Bennets, glassing up the transom, and installing a set of billet Eddie Marines, purchased through Trick Marine. I intend to move them out towards the chines.
I'll post some pics.
Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!
Regards,
Steve

Cool Re: nordic heat projects

Since my last post talked Nordic into doing my sun pad and leaving it long so we could cut down, John and Carlos with Nordic said it would take 4 weeks, so i called today 5 weeks later Johns is no longer there Carlos doesn't remember me or taking to him over the phone. talked to Lonnie
So I have to settle for just material and sending my old seat covers back, at least they did loose them.... I'm just a little disappointed.
A/C Unit is on back order.. it been like running in mud.
2 more week I'm canceling my order on the A/C Unit.

Yours truly the red headed step child
