Maybe not faster, but you do not have much room in the Cheetah, the 388 is tight. I really like the Hustler profile, dont get me wrong. I almost bought one before I found my Flame. Have not looked back, nor should you. The bottom line is buy what makes you happy, both are great boats and both owners like there brands. Its all about having fun. A good day boating with either boat is better than a great day at work!

I too looked @ A 344, before I bought our 35 Flame! I like the looks of the Hustlers, especailly the 388, BUT the cockpit and cabin in the 344 was just too small for our liking and family. I read somewhere that of all the Hustlers, the 344 was the best design! Bang for Buck, I think you would be hard pressed to beat the Nordic 35' Flame! I think the Donzi 35 ZR is a good looking boat also.
To each his own,
Dean

I don't put much weight in anybodies claims
about how fast their boat goes.

But I defy anybody to find PUBLISHED tests that demonstrate
that power for power the Hustler 344 is faster than the
Nordic 35. They're so close that it doesn't really matter in the
tests I've seen, individual setup and driver ability could
make the difference. They're both excellent boats.

I would rather have a Nordic because I live in the southwest
and their factory is a lot closer. If I lived in the northeast
I'd probably own the Hustler.

I doubt few people have more hours on a Nordic 35 than
me: 400. For the last 3 years we've run it in the Catalina
ski race, run several poker runs at Havasu each year. Wish
Mercruiser stuff had the durability of a Nordic hull.

Oh yeah, one last note. Have a friend with a 33 Donzi that
developed a flaw in the bottom that water was seeping into the boat. I told him he needs to get the boat out of the water and fix it pronto. His reply was something to the effect that it was no big deal, the Donzi has a composite core. I proceeded to explain to him (and it probably fell on deaf ears) that water
destroys everything it comes into contact with. Composites are not immune.

Whether a boat is good or bad has nothing to do with wood or composite. You can build good, and bad, boats either way.

Re: Nordic 35 flame

I've been on "Sick Nordic" in the rough and thought it rode great. The boat ran 90 with 4 people onboard with full fuel. I've got a 28 Nordic and love it. They do all their graphics in the gel coat and it is well executed. In my opinion the Flame looks way better than the Hustler. Cabin space is good and the cockpit isn't bad either. Nordic has some pretty unique designs that set it apart from the others. Check out the "frenched in" bow light and the telescopic anchor light. They also have a pretty cool cabin door. Gel coat graphics are the way to go and they will do pretty much anything you come up with. Besides - everyone has a donzi - don't you want to be different
