Bravo 1 pitch for 525hp
What is the standard pitch for a stock Bravo 1 on a Nordic Rage from the factory with a EFI500/525hp. What would be the Bravo 1 pitch in a lab finished configuration for the same boat / engine?

I think you could pull a 28B1 (which is really a 27").
I would try a stocker (you can modify it from there), and see how it runs. Get a loaner from a prop shop or friend before you plunk down the $$.
Has anyone tried a P5 on a Rage?

28 or lab 30 if at 525 and sea level.

The Rage does not have a lot of prop slip. Here are some real world numbers for an open bow version. Stock 26 pitch = 5000 RPM/73 mph, 5600 RPM=80, 28 pitch runs the same 80 at 5200 RPM and a 30 pitch 80 at 4800 RPM. This is with a mild 540/600HP engine.

Bob,
Nice torque curve on that 540!! I'd say by the looks of that the torque curve is pretty flat.
The 73 at 5000 w/26 is with the 496HO, correct?

Re: Bravo 1 pitch for 525hp
I wonder if I have a hook in my hull or something. 68mph @5000 rpm with a stock 26P Bravo 1 is all I could ever muster with the stock 496HO. Assuming the 26P Bravo 1 is a true 25 pitch (as the prop people tell me) leaves me with a 14% slip I believe. Additional HP is my answer.

I got to test run the Rage I upgraded to an HO this weekend. Running a stock 26 prop It ran 72.6(GPS) at 5100 RPM. So, the upgrade got almost 5 MPH and 400+ RPM boating at the same place, similar weather, load, etc.

Assuming a true pitch of 25" for the 26P Bravo 1 that would be 72.6/80.5 or 10% slip. How many people in the boat and gas in the tanks at 72.6 mph?
