I am looking for suggestions to go Faster....
Boat currently has a 502 MAG with B 1 outdrive all stock running B1 prop 24 pitch 4 blade. We get 65.4 MPH on GPS. This winter, I am going to pull the engine and take it to my local builder.
The plan is to do the following:
Balance, refresh with bearings, rings, oil pump. I would like to increase HP (of course) and I am looking for suggestions on what to do. I am going to buy a m3SC procharger but would like to go a little farther than that while I have the motor apart. I like the Procharger because a friend of mine put one on his Eliminator and he had great results - about 16 MPG gain and it has really been dependable. I am not sure what else to do to get the best bang for my buck. Should I look at different heads, cam...... I am somewhat unsure and would like some input.
Thanks to anyone for the input.
I would like to end up around 85 MPH. Thanks for the help. Oh yea we are at sea level on the Columbia River in Oregon.
Thanks,
Brad

Please let me know.
