Default Has anyone driven a Thor?

I am very close to buying a Thor and trading in the heat, but I need some more info on the boat. If anyone has driven one I am tring to find out the rough water ability of this boat how it handles and what real speed can be had with the 525. Thanks John Lomant.

I have...they run great...very impressed with the overall performance......stay away from the older GEN 1&2 boats as the the GEN 3 (see boat below) runs much better (no porpoising) and faster by 5 MPH. With 5 big guys in the boat we ran 89 MPH on GPS speedo...the boat with the correct labbed prop can run 92 with 2 people and fuel. We can take your trade if you like on the boat below ?

John, I just got back from Havasu with a Lightning deck boat. You're welcome to come down and take it for a test drive. Same hull as the Thor with deck boat top. I'm just outside of Austin.

John,

I have driven the Lighting and can say it handles the rough water really great. I was on Lake Havasu test driving one and went across a wake made by a 35' cruzer (?) and didn't even have to slow down. If you can, Take Bob up on his offer and head down to Traves and take a ride on the Lighting. It is a great ride.

If you don't mind me asking, what Lake do you boat on in the Dallas area? I live on Texoma and have a Rage right now.

Cool, I didn't realize they had made one. I know they are working on the tooling to offer it as an option. Just like my open bow Flame.
