I have a buddy with a 2006-07 29 w/ 350 mags, its real slow getting on plane,its propped right,at slow speed its still rides bow high.Ive only driven it at slow speeds.The interior,cockpit is real nice.
I have no experience with a Nordic.

I would have gone with the 700sci on my boat, but the 600 is the largest motor that Merc will couple with an XR drive and I was supplying the IMCO drive. With the 662 or 700, you also have to purchase a NXT drive, and for me, that option was priced prohibitively.

I realize this thread is a little old, but I wanted to follow up. Casper ended up ordering a brand new 28 Heat closed bow from us here at Unlimited Marine. We arranged for it to be built to CE specs for him, which now also gives Nordic the ability to buid other 28's to meet CE certifications.
His boat went with a 496 HO with Silent Choice option, to meet the noise regulation over there. It also has pearl white carbon fiber interior. Very pretty boat.
