Default Fastest 35' Flame?

Anybody know of some fast 35' Flames out there? What are they running for power/drives. I am trying to determine what the 35' might run with twin Merc 700's or 850's backed by NXT drives.

Not sure, 700 should get 100, 850 maybe 106

I think that heavy drive will throw off the balance. It already tail heavy

Tim,

U have low humidity which gives U 20-40 HP more per engine. Wish we had that humidity

I will answer for Tim.

Hering 29 pitch - 5 Blade Bravo style props.

Chris,
Could you and Tim expand on the Hering props on the Flame...
What it is that works better than Bravos maybe.
Thanks,
Dave

i assume when you say Bravo style, you mean round ear style not cleaver style? I would think the cleaver style may do better since it has so much bow lift?

Yes, when I say "Bravo Style", I mean round eared. Hering calls this prop their 5 blade bravo prop, which differs from their 5 blade cleaver style prop.

I agree, I have heard that the flames have a lot of natural bow lift, and that a cleaver style prop might work better.

I can tell you that the Hering 5 blade bravo props I have run on my Heat are smoother and faster than any other props I have run. Tim also likes the 5 blade bravo's on his Flame.

The 5 blades can hook up better, I can get into some 3-6 footers at times. Having some slip helps the drives. I tryt to avoid that water, but the bay can get rough

Has anyone tried any Maximus 5 blades?
I know the single engine Flame with big hp ran into the 100s with a single 1200 with those.
Thanks,
Dave
