Default 4-sale: 28 P5x for Nordic

For Sale:

Throttle-Up, Labbed Hydromotive 28 P5x -- $700.00 obo

I bought this prop from another OSO member for my Nordic Heat, at the same time I was doing some Whipple upgrades, and it ended up being too small for my application. It is in excellent condition.

New with labbing it is nearly $1500.00

Will sell for $700.00 obo

Default steal this prop!

Hi Guys,
Chris is playing Santa. This was my prop, and I had $1500 in it easily. Blueprinted by TU for my Heat, smokin fast (90/93 on my boat, 12% slip), acellerates like a drag boat, and handles great.
BTW for comparison, I just bought a lightly used stock 29" P5-X and paid $900 + $100 a blade to TU to blueprint it.
Take advantage!
Regards,
Steve

I suppose this prop is for my hipo applications -- and would take quite a bit more than stock 496 Mag HO power to be effective.

Probably so,
They turn about the same RPM as a Bravo that's 2"s larger in stamped pitch. In this case that's a 30".
A great deal if you can turn it. Throttle Up isn't working on anyone else's (other mfgs) stuff anymore unless you are already working with them. If they do, it's $100 a blade (worth it to me).
There are other people, including Hydromotive themselves, who can blueprint these props, but Matt @ TU has a scan that really works well on P5s.

C n T Smith,

The 28 P5x turns about the same rpm as a Merc Bravo 30 pitch. In other words, I think it is too big a wheel for a 525.

You need a Merc Lab 28, one of which I just sold to another Nordic brother, to run the most efficiently.

I have run a Merc Lab 28, on a closed bow Heat with a 525, and it worked great.

A Merc Lab 28 will spin about the same rpm as a stock Merc 26, but will be faster everywhere.

Chris
