i understand and yes i heard the samething which was true at the time because randys boat was the first one they built so they had to get it dialed in.they moved the drives acouple times and moved the engines around and then tres came out and blue printed the bottom of both and they finally got some decent speeds out of it.the boat was bow heavy so they had to move motors back as far as possiable.i believe on the new deck they solved some of that whyll fabing the top deck they moved the deck back to make it even and then made the deck more low profile to shave off some weight and probably alittle faster due to less resistance. as you can tell my deck is alot taller then the new one they are building. i actually like my deck alittle better not because its mine im just more into the taller decks

thanks steve. yes gary teague built the motors on greg olsens 33' eliminator who won the desert storm shoot out, there 1650hp motors. gary is a real great guy and his work is one of a kind. i dont think he really gets as much credit as he deserves. i wouldnt go with anyone else other then gary when it comes to boating work. i mean he does more then just building engines he can do almost everything over at gt performance. he cares about his customers rather then always thinking about how much "MONEY" he can rape out of someone. theres been several occasions ive asked him his opinion which could have brought him work and made some money on but gave me his real opinion which resulted in no work for him and im glad i listened.ill keep you posted on the progress on the boat
