Nice looking boat Chuck. You may want to ask Dustin Whipple if 5500 is his normal rev limit for your ECU. It may be.
If so your alternatives are raising it to the 5900 range, which should be fine for your motor, or running more pitch. Several of us have had excellent results with a Hydromotive P5-X. I run a 29" for hot weather heavy loads, and a 30" for cool weather. They have excellent midrange slip %s too for efficient cruising. My limiters (ECU and MSD) are set at 6000.
We ran a 29" P5-X on a buddy's 29' Fountain with your identical engine setup. Seems like it ran 90ish in cool weather.
Welcome aboard,
Steve

I know your area well. Fast horses, great whiskey, and a National Championship Basketball team .
I'm from central KY, myself. Grew up in Danville, moved to Lexington to attend UK. Loved Lexington, still do.
Heading to Keeneland in a couple of weeks to make my semi-annual donation to the track.......
You will meet a bunch of the Nashvegas Nordic Navy if you make the Thunder Run on Cumberland in June. Our little bash here on Old Hickory in July is a lot of fun. We get a lot of the Cumberland guys in for that. The Knoxville or TN River Run is always a good time too.
I'm not sure what's going on at KY Lake this year. They have had some great PRs in the past. Probably some information on the WKYPA forum.
Oh yeah, if you need some help with programming on your ECU, we can get that done for you here in Nashville.
Regards,
Steve

Call Eric Betty at EB Marine, here in Nashville.
He's got a great database on Nordics, MEFI programs, and rigging. He's got several supercharged Nordics here running really well.
615-714-2944.......he does great work at reasonable prices.
Has his own dyno too. Tell him I sent you.
Regards,
Steve
