The flame JD posted is really nice and clean looking boat. I saw it last year up at Flaming Gorge. The owner is a nice guy too. Think it's a 100+ MPH boat.

Dave
Why wouldn't they just buy an open bow? They must have gotten a hell of a deal to buy it then spend the money to cut it open. Is there another Nordic in your future?

It's now at Nordic getting a new hole cut in the deck for the new owner (converting to an open bow)
I hope I don't get permanently banned from the Nordic Navy for saying this publicly and on the permanent internet record...but I've thought about the same approach. I have to think isn't too radically expensive, and if applied to an older Flame would be substantially less overall when compared to the price of brand or recently new -- and with Nordic doing the work...would come out looking pretty good (best possible).

Dave, any general idea what the new owner of your boat is spending on this conversion?

120s?
I know LA performance built those motors and they run really good in that Flame. Is Brandon's faster than the one at EK? I love the graphics on the EK one.

This is the way Nordic makes the mid cabin 35. They do not have seperate top mold like they do on the 25 and 28. They cut the hole, then glass in the insert for a 28. When they are finished it looks like it was from a seperate mold. The 35 that Condor has started out as a closed deck.

Yes it is faster than EK not sure how much. But EK has factory power. This Flame is actually EK old boat.
