Default New to me Heat

Just finalized the deal on a 1999 Heat. I now have a few questions. It has what I call a closed cooling system or some call heat exchanger or what the actual name is, I don't know. What maintenance is needed on this system? Also, is the fuel gauge reading both tanks or just the tank that is fueling the motor? Thanks for the help.

welcome! you will love your nordic, we all do! the heat exchanger is where the sea water cools the antifreeze, no sea water circulates through the block, closed loop cooling, antifreeze good for 5-6 years tops, it can be tested just like a car, other than that maintainence is the same, the fuel gauge only reads the tank you are switched on, you will learn the gas station ballet real quick, my only gripe on my nordic, the rest of the boat makes up for that

Congratulations and welcome aboard the Nordic Navy Tom.
I think you'll enjoy your boat for years to come.
Best Regards,
Steve
