Ya you need to make a trip to Powell. It's a good time, but I do miss my Heat for some things.

What's your best cruising speed in that JD?
Sounds real nice with the mufflers too. Hopefully I can run into you next summer and see this thing up close. I didn't get out much last summer due to having a kid. Can't wait to take her to Powell in the spring.

It is pretty happy at 50mph and it is stress free at that speed for the most part. Ya i am plannign on making a couple trips up your way next year. I am sure we could work something out.

Boat looks amazing. I would love to get into a cat or more power in my heat one day. Can"t wait to get back down to Havasu in march as well. I saw you towing it up the grade in into boulder city NV sometime in end november or december. See you on the water!

JD could you elaborate a little on the advantages and disadvantages of the SS as it compares to your old Heat?

Sure,

The SS is a better performing boat in almost all aspects, rough water, speed, etc... It is an absolute blast if it is you and wife / girlfriend just out for a run. Once you start to add people it gets tougher, 4 people is still ok, 6 gets crowded. The SS is a coupe and that is really the best way to describe it. The Heat was and is a great boat, more room etc. It really just comes down to what you put your value in the most, if you want pure performance get an SS if you want to focus more on comfort the Heat would be a better option...

Amazing boats! the 28ss is at the top of the cat list and I am surprised it has not received more attention. Nordic is becoming even more a TOP NOTCH company with and excellent product.

Super happy for you and your new toy.

My buddy bought that Orange 28ss in your pic with the Teague 900 in it. I will start a thread this winter with lots of pics and video!

Enjoy!
