I have had several Heats and Rages over the years. Heats BY FAR ride better. Never done any tubing/skiing with a rage, but my heat did great. The Rage is way smaller and more shallow than the heat. In My opinion the Heat is the cats meow of single engine performance boats..... As a matter of fact, I have a 2012 heat for sale if anyone is interested.... Eh, probably be filled with bullet holes. Those are bad for structure I am told.
I don't know what you do, or if you have the time, but I will say this: if you find a boat you want and have the time, road trip it. I recently drove from Central Texas to San Diego to pick up my Dominator, and man what a blast. I have never been to that corner of the country, and it was pretty. I towed her with my Cummins and averaged 14.5ish towing her home, so if you have a big truck and the time, drive my friend! Was an experience I won't soon forget.

...Chris... I spent a lot of time typing that on my phone. I feel betrayed right now, you could have least had some enthusiasm to your negative nelly post. If you find a nice boat that you want somewhere else, you can pay me to enjoy the road trip

My bad, another case of my keyboard not picking up on making a joke. Fully joking around with ya. Really did have a great time road tripping and highly suggest it. I understand if ya don't want to travel. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
