I'm still working with Whipple on the tuning. Gotta test more props and see what the air fuel ratio is next spring. I think it will end up in the high 70s. First test run was 75mph at 1,500' elevation.

Just got back from Lake Havasu. Tested a couple props and a new tune by Whipple. The air fuel ratio is spot on now. I had 4 people, full tanks (80 gal) and the bow cover off and I hit 78.0 mph on the gps. So, I know if we put the bow cover on and lighten the load it's a legit 80mph boat. I'm very happy with that.

Best prop was the cutting edge 5 blade 28p 15". Went 78.0 mph at 5100 rpm. That's 13.5% prop slip. (I have a 1" drive spacer FYI)

Did you mention the boat length? I didn't see it.

It's a Nordic Heat which is 28.5' long and 8' 6" wide. This is the mid cabin open bow version. Single step hull.

We just ran the DS shoot out, wind was the worst and we only did 97.1,

The worst of conditions for us. On this run we only topped 97.1. A huge gust of wind pushed us hard left and I backed off. With the 34p max 5 we can run a top of 124mph. During the tuning the day before we had issues with our blower drive belt splitting down the middle. We dropped boost and went to a larger pulley, I had no more belts for the higher boost pulley. We also dropped to a 32p max 5. At 97.1 we ran through the trap at 5100rpm
