2005 Nordic Flame Ilmor
We have owned this boat for just over a year. What a ride! After learning a lot about the boat, it started as a standard twin ilmor 550 v10 boat, the only nordic at the time using ilmor power. It was featured in powerboat magazine with Bob Teague driving achieving 91.5mph at that time. The boat was also showcased at SEMA for Nordic with its TAOD paint job. The first owner was out of Lake Cumberland and drove it very little. The second owner mainly trailered the boat to boat shows across the country and I'm told by him he has a vast array of awards that fill up his office walls. The last owner was a Dodge Viper fanatic like myself and bought the boat with a ton of excitement it had the viper v10s. He decided to have Woodhouse Dodge do the complete upgrade on the bottom ends and new heads and cam to make the engines Gen 4 viper engines. That puts them anywhere between 650 and 725 for hp each. Unfortunately his wife had some health issues and he was unable to enjoy the boat after the upgrades. Myself being a Viper fanatic was extremely excited to get into this nordic. The boat only had 140hrs on it when purchased with fully rebuilt engines and complete new top ends. We have put about 40 hours on it and what a joy. Running the same props, 28p (on a 1.35 gear ratio Teague Platinum XR) we are seeing 94 right at redline with lots of throttle left (only done a couple times). With the 28's it cruises about 61 at 3500. We tried a friend's 30's and what a difference. Cruise became 70 at 3500 rpm and getting on plane seemed the same if not better. Have not tried any higher rpm runs with the 30's but they seem promising. The boat was also way more planted and could utilize a lot more trim even in rough water on the 30's. Stay tuned as we hope to post more this summer!

Looooove that boat...been drooling over it since it was built! Propped and set up right, should be a triple digit boat all day...enjoy!

Glad you're enjoying it. It looked good at Cumberland on poker run weekend.

The definition of a head turner! I like the paint scheme on my boat, but it looks basic next to this one.
