Whipple on 496 HO in 28 Heat
#2
I spoke with a guy that was the first to have this on the 496HO. He has a 27 Advantage. I think he was on RiverracerX where I talked to him. Anyway, he was very happy with it and said it ran good. No problems with reliablity and said he was around 600-620hp. I talked with someone at Teague about this setup at the beginning of the year and they were not willing to sell it yet as they wanted some more testing done with it before they would sell it. Well I see in their ads now that they are selling it so they must be convinced.
Not sure about your 28 but our 35 the front crank pulley is close to the rear of the seat/plywood that holds the battery. Maybe require some tweeking to get to fit.

Mr Gov'nt,
I had a 1995 28 Heat with the Bulldog engine boat run 71 MPH. installed 420 maga blower went up four pitch's in prop and ran 84 MPH. The 28 hull loves speed yours has the step should do even better.
The only issues with installation was the blower belt did hit rear seat. Made small modification and was good to go. Used low profile clean cleaner and hatched cleared as well. Money well spent.
