Indy, I was concerned about engine compartment space too but there is actually as much room as my 500's had. Nordic raised the engine hatch to allow for the taller headers seems to be plenty of room for normal maintenance.
Will keep you posted on speed numbers, the last 35 we sold with 525's ran 91.5 GPS with 15 hours and was on the limiters with 32 labs. We will see.

Could not even spin 30 Merc five's. Stepped down to 28's hit RPM target still lost speed to the 32 four's.
Are you sure they were 34 pitch five blades?

Gary, my mistake when I got home I checked my notes. I had 32 five blades, I've had so many props on this boat in the last 6 months. I now have 36 four blades hitting the limiters. Merc said it would be late this year before the 34 five blades would be done and out.
rv, It felt like the stern was pushing the bow into the water. Like Gary said too tall 15 5/8. 34 five blades @ 15 1/4 will do it for me I think.

Thanks for the replies on the 5 blades. Doesn't sound like they are the ticket yet for our Flames. Have any of you tried the Hydromotives P5X? I have heard good things about them on the Heat.
Dwane, what speed are you at with that rocket now days? Is it still handling the way it use to or are you getting it better with different props.

Another question for you guys, what is your drive height. I would like to know what is the distance from the top of the notch in the transom to the bottom of the transom assy. (behind the flat anode). Ours is in the 6" range but I forgot so I will measure tomorrow and let you know so we can compare.
