That is not enough power or weight to cause a problem. The causes I have seen are from impact or slamming the gears from fwd/reverse at too high a rate of speed or RPM.

Gary, I went with IMCO drives the top end is the same, still on the rev limiters thinking on sending the ECU's? out to move the revs up to 5800 and see if the will work.

Dwane, Imco's a good choice. How many hours are on your motors? Have you had the valve springs checked? Heard 300 hours is about it for the 500efi springs, especially at 5800.

We are in the Louisville boat show. Will have Doug's new 35 with the Vipers there, hope to see ya.

Gary, I looked around and though the IMCO's were the best for the Nordic. I have about 120 Hours on the motors and yes I think about that all the time. I have a friend with a 388 Hustler with 500 carb's and he had a few fail on him. I have a set of 32's if you want them they have been labed. Do you know of anyone that would want my old drives? Ask John. The one that John fixed is good the other needs work the case is still good. I'm going to go to the Louisville show is it the week of 20th thru the 30th. I look forward to seeing you

Dwane, The Louisville show is the 22nd through the 30th. I plan on being there Sat. afternoon and Sunday of both days.

I'll check around for a drive customer, what do you want for them?

120 hours is no big deal on the EFI's, my old 500efi's have 300 hours now the new owner is pulling them to just to look this month. The carb 500's were a different story.

See ya in Louisville
