Default NJPPC Recognized By Both Powerboat & Poker Runs America Magazines This Month!

Toms River, NJ, December 2, 2006 - The New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club (NJPPC) has been recognized by both Powerboat & Poker Runs America Magazines this month by their Editor or Publisher.

POWERBOAT
In the January 2007 issue that was just published, Editor Gregg Mansfield’s monthly column is titled “Wishing Well.” Gregg outlines four changes that he hopes will come to fruition for the upcoming 2007 season. Gregg’s first wish is that poker runs expand.

Gregg states “I want to see every poker run in the United States follow the lead of NJ Performance Powerboat Club and look for ways to include smaller boats in their events. The club announced it was creating a 45mph group to get owners of single-engine or smaller twin engine boats to participate.”

Poker Runs America
In the latest issue that was just released Publisher Bill Taylor’s monthly column is titled “Safe Running.” The column starts with “As we conclude the poker run season, performance boat event organizers are taking time to pause and reflect on the "state of the union" as it applies to our industry.”

A few paragraphs later Bill continues with “The APRA (American Poker Run Association), a sanctioning body, and the NJPPC (New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club) have both established comprehensive safety and operational guidelines to assist other poker run organizers with their events.”

We at NJ Performance Powerboat Club are honored to be mentioned in the two columns simultaneously especially for great reasons: Expanding our sport and the Safety of our sport. Both magazines are continuously focused on the growth and safety of our sport. They both realize that they play a huge role in influencing performance powerboating enthusiasts. Fortunately they take this role very seriously and are always trying to use their media power to communicate positive messages.

We want to thank them for allowing NJPPC to be a part of that positive message!

About the New Jersey Performance Powerboat ClubThe New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club (NJPPC) was founded in 1999 and has over 200 members. The NJPPC is a members-run club that’s charter is to provide its members with top quality Poker Runs and other exciting events. It enthusiastically welcomes a broad cross-section of performance powerboaters to join the club. Its schedule is planned considering both smaller and larger boats. Consequently, its membership spans from owners of 18’ to 50’ boats!

Distinct from other Poker Run organizations, the club chooses to limit the number of event participants to assure safety, promote camaraderie and to facilitate a well-run, enjoyable day for all involved. The limited number also affords access to the highest quality marine facilities such as Trump Marina Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The club has no profit motivation prompting it to host the biggest events – but it is strongly motivated to run the best events and in that way, everybody profits! NJPPC membership is required to participate in the club Poker Runs.

For further information please visit the club’s website at: http://www.njppc.com. NJPPC can be contacted via telephone at 732 674-2946, via email at [email protected] or via mail at: Dave Patnaude – President, NJPPC, 604 North End Ave, Toms River, NJ 08753.
