Default Lake George

I just moved up to Saratoga Springs to be with my girlfriend. Im working at a boatyard out on Saratoga Lake. Lake George is close by. I have only been to the Village so far.
So, where are all the sweet boats hiding at...lol? Any cool boats I could check out? Poker Runs? I know that Saris Racing? is up in Bolton Landing, but I have not made it up there yet.

That's very cool. Maybe i'll see some of them running around the lake this summer. I need to get another boat in the future, its been way too long.

You will definitely see some Donzi boats and I think there is an annual vintage boat race.

No Poker runs on Lake George anymore(last legal one was in 08 maybe?). The big boats don't really come down to the village/docks unless they are running mufflers. The lake is 32 miles long and the further north you go, the less they patrol it. You will see the cool boats at the bays like Log Bay & Red Rock Bay.

Your best bet to see a bunch of high performance boats in one place will be on the Great Sacandaga Lake on Saturday, June 18th. Its a fun run and last year we had about 35 boats in crappy weather. Will be a lot more if the weather cooperates. The boats meet at Lanzi's on the Lake at 10 and take off at 12 to make a few stops.

Take a short ride to Great Sacandaga Lake. We are there every weekend. A lot of cool boats there. June 10,11,12 is the romp. Mainly small boats, outboard stuff. But there is usually a few big ones. June 18 is the fun run/poker run. Bigger boats. Almost every weekend there is some kind of party somewhere on the lake. Its a big lake, apx 30 miles long and 5 miles wide at the widest point. Some good places to eat and drink. And the best part, the cops are cool. Only a speed limit at the north east side of the lake. Lots of nice beaches and Islands. If you ever want to check it out pm me , and we will meet for a drink.
