Default Block Island

Looking at taking a trip this summer to Block Island. We've got 3 or 4 performance boats ( 35-45 feet) and wondering where the best spot would be for us to launch from the list below:

Mystic, CT
Charlestown, RI
Pt Judith, RI
Hanson's Landing, RI
Shennicosette, RI

Thinking of staying somewhere the 1st night we launch and then head to Block the next morning. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

IMO Mystic great place to hang for a night and a nice run 20-30 min. to BI depending on sea conditions.

The others are a much shorter ride by boat

Try Gwenmore, Brewers, Safe Cove they are all pretty close to the action in Mystic......reality is, every marina is pretty close to the action, It's not that big of an area, but plenty of restaurants and bars.

the boat ramp in Galilee is a great spot to launch for BI... 12 miles away and usually a pretty good run. there is plenty of parking during the week however the earlier the better on weekend.
If you leave the trucks at the ramp there are a couple of hotels within a mile from the ramp.
