Re: How is the Quiet Storm coming?
Hi Mark
Everything is going very well. The motors are back in the boat and running fantastic. Boxes and drives are all together too. Jeff and Frank took it out for a sea trial last weekend and I was very happy with the speed they told me it ran.
The only problem is I will need new props. They were at 5500 rpm with the 32's. The rev limiters are set at 5600 so I'm too close.
I'm going to pick it up this weekend. I have a few more things I want to do to it before putting it on the lift.
Roger

Re: How is the Quiet Storm coming?
The top speed was 89. I want to try a set of 5 blades and maybe a set of Imco shorties but I've spent enough money on the boat for this season (except for gas)
I'll have to wait until next year on the drives. Just go light on the sticks for now.
Thanks

Re: How is the Quiet Storm coming?
You might try adding more cup to the props. It's not a fix but it will get the rpms down until you decide what to do on the Imco shorties.

Don't tempt me Doug. I'm weak right now.
Dave, my props are labed so I'm not sure if adding more cup to them would hold up. Once I fill it with fuel and all the other stuff I need for boating they may be OK.
