Come on Mark he asks everyone to conserve energy but that was after you filled the boat. You can start right after you run it dry.
I'm in. I don't want over 1,500lbs of fuel sitting on my trailer for very long. From the last time I looked I hope the lake conditions get a little better.

Re: Michigan City Fun Run
I just got back from the gas station. A little over 200 gallons of race fuel. I am ready to rumble!!!!!!!!!
SkaterChris and I will be at Pastrick Marina and hope to see many others. Weather is suppose to be perfect!!!
I do feel really bad for our southern friends that have suffered great losses.
As for our president, ...................

It may be a moot point with 3-5' waves anyway. I imagine I'll go out a few times yet this year. but just within a few miles of my port and then float.

If you hang on to fuel for too long it will go bad. I had to dump 200 gallons this year and I don't plan to do it again.
I promise to conserve all winter but I want to do this last official run of the year. My .02

Roger, I see your point. But promoting a run for vehicles trailering boats, boats that have not already fueled is defeating the purpose of helping out an energy crissis An energy crissis that none of us were planning before Katrina hit.
I plan to burn any left over boat fuel in my car.
What impression is our club showing by 50 boats running when we are being asked to conserve?

I'm thinking twice about hitting the gas dock with the talk of rationing floating around....sitting on 2/3 of a tank right now, and I don't know if that'll be enough to run to Michigan City and back so I was planning on just running with the group as far as Miller Beach/West Beach and heading in for a swim...anybody game for that and maybe some BBQ on the beach? Just a suggestion...
