Blowing some steam off!!!

Ok so for my short bit of life that I have had so far I have deffinitly learned one thing , Don't depend on anyone but yourself. Anything that reqiures other peoples involvement usaully means failure.

I my not be the smartest one around , or the most articulate, ( Sommers reminds me from time to time , LOL ) but I do know that there are things that I or poeple I associate with have done and work. Examples Build a 300C.I. engine that puts out over 500H.P. and run my car in the 10's. Build a show winning Chevelle that you can drive any where and still go in the 10's with no spray. Put together Trucks and cars so low without air suspension and still drive them year round without fail. Then there is dads boat.

Why is it so hard for poeple to belive that it did what it did. I stopped by a guys shop here in the area that is a Merc/ Cigarette specialist , to see if he needed any TRS stuff I'm unloading for someone and of course the conversation turned into performance. He basically called me a liar when I told him that we had 540 NA's that made over 700 H.P. and 680 FT LBS. of torque. And that no TRs around would handle anything over 600 HP. even though we have had the same ones on the boat for 8 years, and you all have seen how we run. Oh yeah and our hull would never go 91 mph.
So what I want to know is how in the world does this guy stay in bussiness and how do I get his customers, Becuase he is obviuosly selling people sh!t they don't need and building some sub-standerd power . Anyone that I have worked on thier boat will tell you I'm not in it for the money , I just love this stuff and can't afford it on my own. Sorry guys but it just iritates the hell out of me everytime I run across one of these sexuall intellectuals (****!ng know it alls) Knowing how bad he is screwing people.

Have a nice day . Brian

Said person verbally *****-slapped me on the phone for asking him if he would align the drives on my Powerquest one fall. He said that was a "springtime thing" and that he wouldn't do it. OOOOKKKK. Last time I stopped there. End of story.

Hey Brian, to help you out. I used to care what people would say. I just listen and say coool!

I was with Frank one day and a guys said to me that I have a nice boat. Some how in the same sentence, he would talk about his 454's and that he had them "punched". I am not too sharp and Frank explained that it goes faster. Now I was clear and then said coool!

I was at the pet store the other day and said to a guy with a German Shepherd that he had a nice dog. I also asked him if he went to the German Shepherd school around the corner from the store. He said "no". He told me because his dog is really, really smart and if his dog did go to dog school, that his dog would have to start off in the advance classes. He also said that his dog was breed from a super champion. Without getting into my backgroud with GS dogs, I just said Cooool!

Brian, if the guy you are referring to is on Harlem ave, ask if Bill's boat is almost done or just a couple more years left.

No if its the one I'm thinking of it's still there, He's probably trying to sell him some crap he doesn't need. Like # 6's and some of his buzzard 700 inch motors that only put out 700hp. That boat allready has Pontiac Chief heads on it.
