It seems to me the people that leave on the river like the event as much as we do.
All I saw were people on their docks waving and giving us the thumps up.
Water patrol did a great job.no problems that I heard.

This was the first year I got to wittness the event. Growing up on the chain, a person tends to see things the way they used to be.................
I was really surprised to see the turn-out, not only of boats and participants, but also the many people along the chain who watched from their piers. The river had a ton of people out watching as did the lakes. It was cool.

Shiver
A great thanks to all of the shiver participants. With over 69 boats AND over 200 participants, it was great that the majority repspected the saftey provisions and had patience with the NIOC crew handling the overwhelming turn out. I hope everyone from the Chicago Powerboat club that attended the shiver, had a great time with us on the "little" pond! We hope to get the DVD out before Christmas!!!
